Choose a PDF video aspect ratio: 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1
The target frame changes how each PDF page will fit on screen. Choose the destination first, then keep essential text and diagrams inside a safe area before saving the task.
Choose the frameThe selected aspect ratio is stored as a task setting. PDF2Video does not currently crop, recompose, rasterize, or render the PDF into a finished video.
Match the frame to the viewing destination
Use 16:9 for presentations, course players, and horizontal screens. Use 9:16 for phone-first vertical viewing. Choose 1:1 when a square layout must remain flexible across feeds.
A page designed in one shape may leave empty space or require cropping in another. Review headers, captions, and edge-aligned diagrams before deciding.
- 16:9: presentations and horizontal players
- 9:16: vertical mobile viewing
- 1:1: square social layouts
- Keep essential content away from page edges
Prepare pages for reliable fitting
Use readable type, generous margins, and a consistent page orientation. Avoid relying on tiny footnotes or content that touches the page boundary because a later renderer may need to fit or pad the page.
The task only records the intended frame. Final scaling, letterboxing, background treatment, cropping, and output review belong to the future rendering stage.
PDF video aspect-ratio questions
Which aspect ratio is best for a PDF video?
Choose 16:9 for horizontal presentations, 9:16 for vertical phone viewing, or 1:1 for square feeds. The intended destination should decide the frame.
Will PDF2Video crop my pages?
Not currently. It records the selected frame but does not yet crop, recompose, or render the PDF pages.
Can I change the aspect ratio after creating a task?
The selected frame is saved with the task. If you need a different frame, prepare a new task with the intended setting.
How should I prepare text near the page edges?
Move essential text, captions, and diagrams inward so a future fit or crop does not make them difficult to read.
