PDF slideshow timing: choose 2, 4, or 6 seconds per page
Page timing determines whether a PDF slideshow feels hurried or easy to follow. Use the document's reading density and page count to select one supported duration before you save the task.
Choose the timingPDF2Video currently applies one timing value to every page in a task. It stores the setting with the source PDF but does not yet render the video or provide an MP4 download.
Match seconds per page to the content
Two seconds works for title cards, dividers, and simple image-led pages. Four seconds suits short statements and clean diagrams. Six seconds is safer for definitions, charts, instructions, or pages that need deliberate reading.
If the document mixes quick dividers with dense explanations, split it into separate tasks or revise the source. A uniform setting cannot give every page a different duration.
- 2 seconds: titles and quick visual prompts
- 4 seconds: concise text and simple diagrams
- 6 seconds: definitions, charts, and instructions
- Split mixed-density sections when needed
Estimate the total slideshow duration
Multiply the PDF page count by the selected seconds per page. A 20-page PDF takes about 40 seconds at two seconds, 80 seconds at four seconds, or 120 seconds at six seconds before any future intro, outro, or transition time.
This estimate helps you decide whether to shorten the source before submission. It is a planning value, not a rendered-video duration guarantee.
PDF slideshow timing questions
How many seconds should each PDF page stay on screen?
Use two seconds for very simple pages, four for concise content, and six for definitions, charts, or instructions that need more reading time.
How do I calculate the slideshow length?
Multiply the number of pages by the selected seconds per page. Twenty pages at four seconds is about 80 seconds.
Can each page have a different duration?
Not currently. One two-, four-, or six-second value applies to every page in the task.
Does the timing include transitions or narration?
No. The current task records page timing only; it does not add or render transitions, narration, or audio.
